Privacy Policy

Tolliver is built around one principle: your information belongs to you. This page explains exactly what Tolliver does — and does not — do with your data.

Tolliver is designed to work on your device, for your family. Almost everything stays on your phone. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ads. We don’t require an account.

Memory

What Tolliver stores on your device

Tolliver saves things you teach him — names, favorite things, facts about your family — so he can remember them later. This information is stored locally in a database on your phone. It never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up yourself.

Conversation History

Recent conversations

Tolliver keeps a short local record of recent conversations on your device. This is used only to give Tolliver context during your current session — so he can follow a conversation naturally. This data never leaves your phone.

Camera

What Tolliver sees

Tolliver uses your phone’s camera to see faces and recognize scenes. Face data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded or shared. You can disable camera features at any time in Settings.

Microphone

What Tolliver hears

Tolliver uses Android’s built-in speech recognition. Processing may depend on the user’s device and Android settings. Tolliver only listens when actively in use.

Calendar

What Tolliver reads

If enabled by the user, Tolliver can read your device’s calendar to answer questions about upcoming events and appointments. Calendar data is processed entirely on your device. Tolliver does not modify your calendar and does not transmit calendar data to any server or third party.

Optional Features

Optional AI services

Tolliver can optionally connect to third-party AI services if you choose to add your own API key in Settings. This is entirely optional — Tolliver never ships with a bundled key for any service. All API keys are stored in encrypted storage on your device.

When any of these services is active, your messages are sent to that provider’s servers and are subject to their own privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.

Weather

Weather data

Tolliver may request current weather data by sending your approximate location coordinates to the U.S. National Weather Service (weather.gov), a free public service operated by the U.S. government. No personal information is included in these requests, and the National Weather Service does not track or store individual users.

What We Don’t Do

Tolliver does not…

Note: This website uses Google Tag Manager for basic website analytics. The points above describe the Tolliver app itself.

Families & Children

Children’s privacy

Tolliver is designed to be family-safe and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All memory and conversation data stays on your device under your control.
